JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the direction, coordination and evaluation of the maintenance unit in their reporting line and oversee the installation, repair and upkeep of plant property, including machines, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for successful implementation of respective department strategy (goals/objectives) set by Maintenance Manager.
• Supervise projects in order to attain the results forecast in terms of deadlines and costs and improvements in productivity or quality
• Program and control preventive maintenance work
• Minimize downtime and increase machine efficiency by scheduling, overseeing, and performing preventative maintenance on all machinery
• Works closely with EHS Manager and Maintenance Manager on any projects concerning Environmental projects for the plant
• Collaborate with Purchasing stock control of maintenance parts
• Manage the routine (daily, weekly, monthly etc.) activities typically associated with the Maintenance function at plant level in compliance with the standards set by the Group
• Ensure that those employed in the Maintenance function have the knowledge and skills, encourage their development and flexibility, co-ordinate their work, and provide guidance and support whenever necessary
• Ensures that the entire team work towards common goals and objectives
• Advise, in the first instance, the Maintenance Manager at the earliest opportunity of any concerns he/she may have regarding the Performance of the department and/or its processes
• Strive for best in class Maintenance function within the Industry / Set the Industry Standard, adapting new ideas, concepts from others within and outside industry
• Keep up to date on new development and foster learning & development among the team; Oversee that cross training takes place among the team
• Visit the work area frequently to ensure compliance, and discusses safety issues with team. Explains to team that safety excellence is expected and is a requirement of employment. Encourages the team to report incidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions. SWR employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• 10 + years’ experience in maintenance functions for Manufacturing or Process Improvement; preferred
• Good knowledge of ANSI/ISO/SFI/FSC/GMP; Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of SAP a plus
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written), dealing with individuals at all levels; comfortable to represent the company in the best possible light
• High energy, with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate & develop both senior and junior level staff
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated and committed individual, strong work ethic
• Excellent analytical skills, methodical approach and commercial acumen
• Ability to work with various departments (sales, operations, finance) to resolve challenges
• Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally (e.g. key customers etc.)
• Able to drive team to continuously improve processes and foster good working relationships
• Capable of delegating solutions as well as stepping back and let the direct reports handle day to day issues with their teams
• Applies analytical thinking
• Ability to work against strict deadlines and deliver on time
• Capable of prioritizing various tasks among team
• Provide sound information to Maintenance Manager, supporting him/her in his/her decision making process

To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently.
