Responsibilities
PURPOSE: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for supervising improvements, repairs, and general maintenance of facility including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, machinery and all other systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety First - Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements.Ensure proper training of employees, assign and direct work overseeing day to day operations of the Maintenance Department.Manage team schedule and hoursOversee projects to completion including supervision of contractors to ensure projects are completed correctly, on time, and under budget. Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams that focus on process improvementAssist in developing, evaluating, and editing preventative and predictive maintenance programs.Assist with inspection and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems.Lead regular department meetings.Work with vendors on new technology. Evaluate downtime.Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and Department of Health requirementsCoach, develop and discipline employees as necessary while maintaining a positive work environment.Promote a safe work environment, maintaining clean and organized workspaces in compliance with Berry standards Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA Degree in Engineering or similar curriculum preferred.Certification in related field required.At least 5 years of extensive, progressive maintenance experience in manufacturing facility.Electrical, boiler and HVAC certification preferred.Ability to manage, direct, and coordinate employees and processes.Excellent interpersonal skills through verbal and written communicationStrong organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Computer skills required including MS Excel and general email.
TRAVEL AND MOBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel as necessary (10-20%)Support all shifts as required.Willing to spend the majority of time in the plant for equipment installation, upgrades and/or troubleshooting.Compensation:
$90,000 to $115,000 annually
