**Job Purpose:**
Directs and supervises Maintenance workforce in all maintenance activities for equipment/plants etc used in Harsco site locations. The job's overall purpose will be to take full responsibility for defining and delivering the best asset management practices through applying proactive financial, operational, and procurement strategies of the Harsco Sites. Exercises independent discretion and judgment in the execution of business strategies by providing leadership & direction to the team. Trains, coaches, and develops associates on efficient work methods to increase departmental productivity. Monitors all results for the department and determines changes that are needed in procedures or conditions that could affect costs.
**Responsible for:**
+ Implement Harsco maintenance policy at Abu Dhabi operations.
+ Review and analyse equipment condition, cost to the business, reliability, availability and effectiveness.
+ Liaison with Production functions, to ensure critical work is undertaken and non-critical items are planned promptly.
+ Manage maintenance performance inline with agree targets/kpi’s.
+ Manage maintenance resource, control and monitor department costs.
+ Evaluate and progress workload.
+ Manage the maintenance budget.
+ Audit maintenance systems to comply with QA policies, H&S, environmental and other legislative requirements.
+ Pro-actively liaise with managers at Abu Dhabi site to ensure correct application, use and maintenance of front line equipment.
+ Initiate the preparation of AFI’s (Authority for Investment) for major rebuilds and new equipment.
+ Agree the specification of all new equipment purchased on Abu Dhabi site.
+ Pro-actively develop and evaluate life cycle costing information to assist with AFI’s and equipment replacement decisions.
+ Ensure the highest standards of safety in operation activities and workplaces.
+ Implements and coordinates safety objectives
+ Assist in review and updating assigned departmental Safe Job Instructions.
+ Follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
+ Understand and manage all procedures and practices to ensure that all tasks are performed safely.
+ Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained.
+ Input and analyze reporting data, initiate action plans, and conduct follow-up audits to ensure actions are carried
+ out for continuous improvement.
+ Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
+ Continual review of processes and procedures for pro-active modifications and improvements.
+ Lead day to day oversight of mechanics, equipment laborers.
+ Ensure Health and Safety practices are followed and provide ongoing education and accountability to the staff to ensure safe operations as per HARSCO standard.
+ Achieve performance goals and deadlines.
+ Ensure to meet the financial plan and capture all saving
+ Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
+ Responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day issues
+ Liaising with the planner and maintenance Manager to ensure that each job has work order opened and the correct time taken to complete the job is recorded into the system.
+ Ensure correct usage of tools.
+ Ensure that log out and tag-out is strictly followed at all times.
+ Maintain high standard in house keeping.
+ Ensure that the maintenance jobs done as per OEM specification, Harsco maintenance programs & Safe working instructions.
**Experience**
+ Minimum 5 years ‘Hands-on experience in Metal recovery plants/ Crushers/Screens/belt conveyors/
+ Diesel Engines /Gearboxes/ maintenance activities and troubleshooting.
+ 2 years minimum experience in a supervisory capacity
**Competent knowledge:**
+ Excellent in written and spoken English.
+ Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work additional hours
+ Ability to perform maintenance plans
+ Detailed understanding of auditing on health and safety systems.

+ Metal recovery plants/ Crushers/ Screens / belt conveyors/Deisel Engines /Gear boxes/ maintenance activities and
+ troubleshooting.
