Maintenance Supervisor 1
Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor 1 Posting Number: C250031 Employer: State Salary Range: $54,860 FTE: 1.00 Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor 1 works in a supervisory role in which the candidate should expect to spend some of their time in the field servicing and repairing HVAC controls equipment and systems and the majority of their time acting as a shop supervisor. In this supervisory role, you will be responsible for oversight, diagnosis and coordination of repairs for multiple building mechanical control and Building Management Systems ( BMS ) that control HVAC equipment. You will be leading the team as well as utilizing strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Duties include: + This is a first-line supervisory position that directs, coordinates and prioritizes a variety of installation, repair, and maintenance tasks. + You will be working with commercial HVAC mechanical systems, interpreting information from prints, drawings and specification manuals related to repairs. + Encourage a culture of Safety, and arrange for ongoing staff training. Create a team-environment where all members can excel. + Respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies in the event of significant equipment failure. + Acts as the department liaison for interactions with customers and campus partners. + Prepares or directs the preparation of sketches, plans, estimates of material and labor needs and costs, and work schedules. + Plans and executes rehabilitation and construction projects. + Prepares, implements and directs effective preventive/predictive maintenance program. + Responsible to ensure proper and timely processing of CMMS documentation. + Inspects work performed by team members and outside contractors for conformance with project plans and specifications, + Provide subject matter expert review and comments for all design plan submissions. + Coordinating activities with other shops involved in multi-trades work orders or projects. + Creating a team-environment where all members are supported, valued and given the knowledge and tools so that they may excel. + Handling sensitive and confidential employee issues including performance appraisals and consistent, recurring one-on-one meetings with employees. + Ensuring that the shop is properly responding to after-hours and weekend emergencies in the event of significant equipment failure. Minimum Qualifications: One year of trade experience subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience such as that required for a Service & Repair Mechanic ( HVAC -R). Preferred Qualifications: + Five Years Building Automation Systems ( BAS ) field experience. + Certifications from Siemens or Andover Controls BAS training schools. + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Strong Information Technology aptitude
