Description
We’re looking for a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Maintenance Worker at Estero Community Park. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of the park and associated properties. We offer a competitive pay rate ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Athletic Field & Court Preparation: Ensure that fields and courts are safe and ready for use.
+ Restroom Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of public restrooms daily.
+ Waste Management: Empty waste receptacles and pick up litter on a daily basis.
+ Landscaping: Perform routine tasks such as mowing, pruning, weeding, watering, and planting to keep the park looking its best.
+ Playground & Equipment Inspections: Inspect and maintain playgrounds, equipment, and buildings to ensure safety.
+ Facility Access: Unlock and lock park facilities at opening and closing times.
+ Task Organization: Prioritize daily responsibilities and assist with additional projects as needed.
+ Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Safely operate mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, hand tools, and small equipment, performing basic maintenance as needed.
+ Environmental Safety: Handle cleaning supplies safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
+ Public Interaction: Effectively communicate with park visitors, particularly in challenging situations.
Education, Experience, Licensing
+ Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, six months of maintenance, custodial work, groundskeeping, landscaping, general labor, customer service, or related experience.
+ Licensing: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
+ Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
+ Technical Skills: Ability to use computers and smartphones for communication.
+ Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills are required for the role.
Supplemental Information
The work schedule may vary and could include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:30pm.
