Overview:

This is a 1-year, full-time career opportunity with benefits in the Canada's Wonderland Maintenance Department. Rates for this position vary based on experience.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with sign design and production along with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.  This person can assist with new sign installation and work independently on repairs and maintenance while organizing the sign shop projects as assigned.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

A “hands-on” individual who will assist in the maintenance and installation of all signage for the Park. 

Responsibilities:Monitor, rebuild and/or repair park-wide signageMaintain all required documentation, drawings, records and logsMake recommendations for improvements, modification, upgrades and report findings to Supervisor and or Manager on a timely basisResponsible for preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and Park SignageWork according to company safety protocols and ensure safe work practices are followed at all timesAssist with general cleaning, inspection and reassembly of equipment as neededMaintain Canada’s Wonderland high standard of quality workmanship Assist with other duties as required
Qualifications:Minimum 3yrs. of practical experience working in a diverse creative sign shop environment is preferredStrong communication skills and ability to work from designs and/or schematicsProficiency in working with basic shop tools (i.e. drivers, drills, other hand tools) Ability to work independently and as a team as well as meet deadlinesAble to work flexible shifts (starting at 6am) including evenings, on weekends and holidaysValid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstractMay require heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.Must supply CSA approved steel toe work bootsMust be comfortable working on ladders and from heights
