Team Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Scheduler, who will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all aspects of maintenance activities within the area of responsibility and completing a wide range of tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service, and cost are the highest priorities.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Scheduler will be the link between multiple functions in the area relating to maintenance scheduling. In addition, the scheduler is responsible for coordinating long-term maintenance activities within Maximo (CMMS) and ensuring they are optimally planned according to suitable maintenance windows and manufacturing needs.The Scheduler supports safe, timely, and quality maintenance, with a sense of urgency and accountability for equipment uptime. They will also interact and communicate effectively with all GAF employees with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Essential Duties
Provides a forecast of upcoming work and status of current schedule
Schedules all PM’s and Planned Corrective WOs, allowing ample time for materials to be kitted and for the spare parts kit to be examined for completeness and accuracy.
Organize meetings to ensure maintenance activities are appropriately scheduled in alignment with maintenance needs.
Ownership of maintenance schedule meetings.
Generate purchase requisitions for non-stocked parts and tools to support planned jobs
Keep track of JSA and the review/revisions of these documents.
Work with production and schedule planned work around production needs, and agree to downtime required for maintenance schedule.
Provide PM forecasts to operations on a yearly and quarterly basis so that maintenance is scheduled to ensure maximum equipment availability.
Assist with the development of Outage and shutdown Schedules
Publishing and updating daily and weekly schedules to affected work groups and adjusting schedules to accommodate changing production priorities or available resources
Identify and implement improvements to CMMS (Maximo) & maintenance activities
Monitoring and tracking weekly schedule compliance, and publishing results cross-site
Challenge the planner to optimize the planning
Ensuring the optimization of site resources
Challenging all the stakeholders on the respect of schedule
Work with Maintenance planner, supervisors, craft-leads, and craft to ensure Maximo data is current
Drive Maximo compliance improvement with accurate labor hours and MRO part consumption.
Supporting GBS initiative roll outs within maintenance as required.
Assists with the planning and preparation of training and orientation for new maintenance team members
Under This Roof We Require:
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Prior experience with computerized shop management (manufacturing or automotive) or computerized maintenance systems software (CMMS) is essential.
