Job Description:

About the Role: 

Ensure that proven Maintenance Planning and Scheduling methods and techniques are used to maximize system availability, throughput, quality, safety, and environmental performance by reducing equipment repair time. Proven methods would include accurately documenting work orders so that work description, time estimates, and proper codes are captured in SAP.  Parts and tools required for the work are identified, ordered and available for the work. 

Facilitates development of the weekly maintenance schedule in conjunction with appropriate maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel 

Responsible for consistency of format for all job plans and work lists 

Manages the PM program daily 

Ensures that new equipment information, parts, PM’s, etc., is properly captured in SAP prior to start-up 

Ensures correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans 

Works with maintenance leads to ensure that spares are stocked at appropriate levels 

Manages the timing and SAP system output for PM and PdM work 

Completes job plans with manpower scheduling and parts verification per company standards for: 

PDT (Planned Downtime Events) 

If Down Do 

Outages/Changeovers 

Equipment modifications 

Standard Work 

PMs and Condition Based Monitoring Inspections 

Assists in developing the master plan for outages/changeover 

Assists in tracking breakdown events focusing on developing a Breakdown Elimination plan  

Assists with Bill of Material (BOMs) updates 

Manages the life of Notifications/Work Orders: 

Uses feedback to update Standard Work 

Monitors proper completion and return 

Ensures correct closing codes are applied to completed work orders 

Helps to maintain the equipment hierarchy in SAP 

Ensures data integrity is upheld in all maintenance related data in SAP 

Maintains accurate and up to date Work Order Backlogs 

Work to reduce maintenance repair costs.  

Provide training, guidance and coaching to maintenance employees in a consistent and constructive manner. 

Conduct root cause analysis on production equipment and recommend or implement corrective actions.  

Should be able to communicate with OEM if needed

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, holding, gripping, reaching, pulling, stooping, extensive bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, extensive wrist movements, and climbing all day. Work can be performed in extreme heat and cold environments. 

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50 pounds above shoulder level.   A team lift would be required for anything over 50 pounds and/or the ability to operate the hoist for heavier items. 

The employee must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language and possess strong communication skills both oral and written. 

The employee must work safely at all times and follow all OSHA (safety) guidelines. 

 

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st shift, on-site.   Compensation range is $69,400 - $87,500 depending on experience

About You: 

You’ll fit right in if you have: 

2-year degree in relevant technical area and/or 7+ years of relevant experience as a maintenance craft in a manufacturing environment  

Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling principles 

Demonstrated Leadership Skills 

Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills 

Proficient computer skills including: 

MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

Very Strong SAP PM & MM (Power User) 

Familiarity with Lean methods and processes 

Strong Organizational Skills 

Able to handle multiple priorities 

7+ years of relevant experience 

Experience as maintenance craft in a manufacturing environment
