Maintenance Mechanic II
The Maintenance Mechanic II installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Scheduled Days: Monday through Friday Shift: 1st Starting Pay: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour ** based on experience and qualifications *** Responsibilities (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned). + Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnosing faults, disassembling machinery, replacing faulty components, and reassembling equipment to restore functionality. + Emergency repair: Responding to urgent equipment failures and performing necessary repairs to minimize production downtime. + Fabrication: Fabrication tasks to include modifying parts or creating simple components using machine shop tools. + Safety compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, when working on machinery. Education & Experience · High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. · 5 -7 years of experience, preferably in Manufacturing or similar industry. . Knowledge of manufacturing machines. . Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatics electrical systems. . Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Licenses & Certifications: Forklift Certification preferred. Physical Requirements · Balancing, Climbing, Crouching, Hearing, Kneeling, Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Repetitive Motion, Seeing, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, Talking, Typing, Visual Acuity, Walking. · Must have ability to work with based consumer chemicals, paints and solvents. · Normal physical agility, which includes the ability to maneuver body while in place. Must be able to stand the majority of the day, walk up to 5 miles a day, bend, reach, twist and lift. · Normal physical strength to handle and/or move objects up to 75 pounds, taking frequency into consideration. Work Environment: · The work is typically active and physical in nature and requires normal accessibility to all work sites required of the position. The position may require extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. · The position is typically working in areas where air conditioning is unavailable and may be exposed to chemicals that are routinely present in the Company’s paint manufacturing facility.
