Maintenance Mechanic
The primary responsibility of the Electrician is to manage, repair and maintain production equipment in our Fair Lawn facility. This role requires an individual which excels troubleshooting production equipment problems as well as proactively preventing issues delaying or preventing production of the company’s products. Schedule: 5 days a week with required overtime based on production needs. Schedule to be determined at time of hire. Work Location: 20-01 Broadway, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 Benefits: Based on Union Contract Provisions Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $33.00 - $37.00 Per Hour with $0.65 shift differential for Overnight Shift. **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** NJ Fair Lawn **Job Type:** Production Group **Job Posting Title:** Maintenance Mechanic **Job Description:** **Duties/Responsibilities:** + Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings. + Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. + Ensures piping complies with electrical codes. + Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them. + Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building. + Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation. + Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. + Replaces conduit and wiring as needed. + Replaces circuit breakers as needed. + Performs other related duties as assigned. **Required Skills/Abilities:** + Must be able to read and interpret building system blueprints and manufacturing equipment electrical drawings, wiring diagrams & schematics. + Ability to read blueprints. + Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring. + Ability to use hand tools and power tools. + Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. + PLC and/or relay logic experience is a plus. **Education and Experience:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. + Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. + Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. **EEO Statement:** Winland Foods seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool, and as a global company we believe our success is enhanced by fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
