Our client, a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance of essential machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $28 per hour

What's the Job?

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging machines, liquid fill pumps, and other related equipment. Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards. Set up machines for production runs, including palletizers, conveyor systems, and pelletizer machines. Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.

What's Needed?

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems. Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and plant construction. Experience with heavy equipment repair and facilities maintenance. Proficient in equipment troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of packaging machines, labeling systems, and conveyor systems.
