Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Perform work involving mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to keep all production machines and support equipment in reliable repair. Duties involve repairing mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and setting up new equipment along with programming PLCs, working with ladder logic and motor control systems in a 24/7 production facility.

ResponsibilitiesRepair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently.Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingKnowledge of three-phase electrical systemsExperience with relays, PLC troubleshooting, gears, valves, motorsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsMechanical and preventive maintenance skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devicesAbility to effectively and efficiently submit part orders and repair reportsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, hoists, forklifts, and welding equipmentWhy Work Here?

This is a direct placement opportunity with the chance to join a union and secure a specific shift in time. The role offers a chance to work in a continuous operation environment with varying shifts, providing a dynamic and engaging work experience.

Work Environment

Training will be on the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) and then transition to a continuous operations shift of 3-2-2, working either 7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM. The work environment is a 24/7 production facility requiring adaptability and flexibility.

This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
