Salary: $26.4423/hr. 

 

Responsible for the daily maintenance of commercial & residential properties, operations, troubleshooting, diagnostics, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical repairs, HVAC, Boilers and Hot Water, Fire Life Safety Systems, ground maintenance , snow/ice removal for assigned properties/facilities.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions And Responsibilities:

Assist with troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of installed systems to include Boilers, Domestic Hot Water, plumbing systems, Fixtures, Household Appliances, roofs, gutters, drains, VAVs, RTUs, AHUs, and HVACClean, lubricate, and service a wide variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devicesAssist with installation and maintenance of building equipment, ie boilers, DHW, and systemsReplace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wall paper, paint walls, piping, floors and equipmentPossess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment to maintain buildings and groundsRespond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned.Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, lock out tag out, log books, code compliance, MSDS maintenance etc.Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as; Fire /Burg alarm systems, fire pumps and all related fire protection system equipment as assignedComply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habitsAbility to use technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, Work Orders, BMS etc.May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); Requires stand-by on-call duties for emergencies.Complete all required Safety Training as scheduled annually.Comply with Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hoursPerform routine maintenance and keep records of maintenance and repair workRegular and punctual time and attendance, and adherence to The Foundling’s and your department’s specific time and attendance policies and protocol.Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundling’s BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence).Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.Appropriate engagement with support departments to ensure appropriate and timely hiring, performance management, investigation, discipline, suspension, and restructuring decisions concerning direct reports. Other Requirements (e.g., required licenses, language ability, years of experience): 

Valid NY, NJ, CT or PA driver’s license with 6 points or less2-5+ years of related experience in a general building maintenance settingTechnical, vocational or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentryBasic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word

May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments); Requires stand-by on-call duties for emergencies.
