**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining equipment associated with manufacturing and packaging activities within the Somerset sites. This position ensures equipment is in good repair, performs equipment troubleshooting, assists in executing Preventative maintenance, and completes compliance documentation on time (e.g., Work Orders, Equipment repair tickets in SAP, Purchase Requisitions in SAP, Maintenance Schedules).
**Responsibilities**
+ Support daily operation of manufacturing and packaging by maintaining associated equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance and keep equipment in a good state of repair.
+ Troubleshoot and perform breakdown maintenance on mechanical, electrical/electronics, PLC, and pneumatic systems.
+ Communicate with service vendors and manufacturers for troubleshooting as needed.
+ Assist with equipment changeovers when required.
+ Support execution of Capital Improvement Projects.
+ Design and aid in the fabrication of machine modifications as per business requirements.
+ Respond to emergency calls.
+ Follow all SOPs, cGMP compliance, and Safety guidelines.
+ Support Quality investigations and implementation of CAPA.
+ Establish and maintain spare parts inventory.
+ Participate in engineering department meetings and implement the company’s strategic plan.
+ Support the Facility maintenance team as needed.
+ Work at a consistent, reasonable pace, neatly and efficiently, and as a team player.
+ Set an example for teamwork, cooperation, safety, respect, and work ethic for all employees.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 2 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical setting.
+ Experience in troubleshooting, cGMP practices, and mechanical maintenance.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
+ Ability to read, comprehend, and follow SOPs written in English.
+ General troubleshooting and mechanical, electro/pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with SAP is a plus.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Technical School/Industrial Certifications or High school diploma in a related discipline preferred.
+ 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
+ Solid understanding of cGMP practices and compliance guidelines.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
