Responsibilities The Maintenance Manager Designate includes a 12-18 month comprehensive onboarding where you will learn and train alongside tenured department/engineering leaders and site teams before taking on your full time assignment as a Maintenance Manager. This role will require up to 70% travel within the division. After completion of the designate onboarding program, and in role as a Maintenance Manager, you will lead a maintenance department that includes front line supervisors and a team of mechanics. You will be responsible for people and team development, motivating the team and ensuring quality performance; cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit across all shifts; achieving site performance for uptime, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, and building/grounds maintenance. This role will also coach team members to utilize the processes and facilitate problem solving on the floor. Additional responsibilities include: Ensure that supervisors and teams within the business unit are developed and held accountable for achieving individual, team and business unit goals Solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues Work closely with suppliers and internal customers to deliver expected results Conduct presentations and formal training programs This role requires regular presence on the plant floor and may require occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. Ability to travel is required This role will require off-shift and weekend work Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $85,200 - $142,650. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, proven by successful completion of a major improvement project.
