Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our meat deli in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, preferably within the food industry, and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for the meat deli, including preventive maintenance schedules and emergency response procedures Oversee all maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, building maintenance, and grounds keeping Manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high standard Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and address them before they become a problem Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule maintenance and repairs as needed Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain records of inspections and maintenance activities

Requirements:

Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within the food industry or a similar environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices A technical qualification in maintenance or a related field is preferred
