Overview

Hire Resolve is currently representing a reputable manufacturing company based in Johannesburg who is in search of a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join their team.

Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support as needed. Perform regular inspections and equipment audits to identify maintenance needs and address them in a timely manner. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment records, and inventory management. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, and order as needed. Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation). Proven experience working as a Maintenance Foreman or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Computer literate with proficiency in maintenance management software. Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
