Description:
The primary role of the Maintenance Foreman is to coordinate maintenance resources and activities to drive improvements in equipment performance, increasing Operating Efficiency (OE) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). The Maintenance Foreman is an active member of the PM piller, and supports Plant TPM objectives and is expected to perform as a professional. He/She must be highly skilled, exceptionally competent mechanically, and able to lead, develop, and engage the work force.
This is a full time hourly 8-hour day shift position that will report to the Maintenance Leader.
Responsibilities:
Safety and Conduct: Adhere to and ensure team compliance with the OC Safety Culture of Zero Accidents with strict adherence to all OC safety policies and procedures, ensure plant safety needs are given top priority, and maintain clean and organized work areas. Ensure team follows all site safety procedures and practices including but not limited to: rigging, elevated work, confined space, line break, hot work, electrical safety, use of STAR cards, roof access, etc. Comply with all plant rules and corporate policies with regard to business conduct. Follow all environmental compliance polices & programs Behave and lead in a respectful and professional manner Leadership: Enforce and hold day shift mechanics accountable for all corporate, plant, and maintenance department rules, policies, procedures, and expectations for performance Complete annual performance reviews for day shift mechanics jointly with other foremen Ensure daily communication and smooth transition between shifts, participating in pass down meetings, and providing necessary details for any breakdowns that occurred, or any follow up work needed Ensure mechanics follow RWP workflow and properly document work activities and breakdowns in SAP, including accounting for any parts consumed - addressing gaps as needed Ensure maintenance personnel are effectively utilized, assigning additional duties as needed Follow-up and hold mechanics accountable on daily work assignments and ensure work is executed properly. Assist in assessing, training, and developing mechanics and apprentices Oversee and ensure effective fleet maintenance Duties: Coordinate maintenance resources to execute plant and department priorities. Actively engage in the daily management system to communicate and support plant priorities Analyze causes of breakdowns and implement corrective measures, including assisting with design improvements and equipment modifications Support the team with troubleshooting, focusing on identifying the root cause and eliminating issues Inspect plant equipment to identify potential problems prior to breakdown occurrences Review maintenance deliverables (drawings, parts lists, critical parts ID, PM procedures, lube routes, etc.) for new or modified equipment for accuracy and completeness Review and MCMP confirmed work orders daily, auditing to ensure work was executed and documented properly and parts were consumed correctly Lead down day and extended shutdown coordination activities, including aligning with production and foremen to define, communicate, and publish down day/ shutdown schedules, as well as facilitating planning, coordination, and lessons learned meetings as needed. Coordinate maintenance work on peripheral equipment such as: conveyors, elevators, dust/fume collectors, heaters, etc., ensuring timely execution of corrective and preventative maintenance. Must work with Production to ensure all major breakdowns (plan, progress, and resolution) are effectively communicated to the site leadership team Support BOM accuracy through regular audits and researching parts Coordinate with storeroom leader to maintain kitting areas neat, organized and up to date with relevant work only Actively engages in TPM and PM pillar activities Must be able to be on call and available to support the plant as needed outside of regularly scheduled hours. All other duties as assigned or needed which require comparable skills, effort, and experience

Job Requirements:
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Must have at least at least 5 years’ experience with machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment and have achieved minimum class 1 mechanic Must be legally able to work in the United States Experience with TPM preferred Experience with PLC's preferred

Must be drug and alcohol free Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance Ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs. with assistance Work for up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment Walk/stand/sit on concrete floors continuously for up to 12 hours Able to ascend and descend stairs, platforms, and ladders continuously Ability to work in cramped areas and enter confined spaces-frequently Ability to work at heights - frequently Able to safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – steel toed shoes, gloves, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or face shields), and face masks as necessary Regular attendance onsite and ability to rotate and work shift work
