Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Incumbent will perform electrical Preventive Maintenance (PM), troubleshooting and repairs on all Williamsport’s equipment and electrical systems. You will be responsible for the electrical installation and start-up of new equipment and for making modifications, if necessary, to make such equipment suitable for the needs of the operating department. Duties include working safely while performing maintenance and repair work and insuring the reliability and safety of any electrical system being serviced. You will be expected to participate in plant initiatives aimed at enhancing safety and plant performance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
You must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the electrical discipline across a broad range of subjects by obtaining a satisfactory score on the NOCTI Electrical Examination and through documented training and past experience. Incumbent must be competent in the following: electrical safety, basic alternating current (AC) circuits, basic direct current (DC) circuits, motors (AC & DC), proper system grounding at all voltage levels, basic electronics, power systems (120V-67,000V), installation/analysis and repair of AC & DC Motor Drives, installation/analysis, basic programming and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers & Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Understanding and applying provisions of the NEC, understanding and applying provisions of NFPA 70E, competence in the principles of electrical construction, and be familiar with the basic functions of a PC.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Electrical or Electronics Associate Degree is required. One (1) or two (2) years of experience as an industrial electrician, along with experience in PLC's is preferred.
- Solid, stable work history
- Willingness to work in a team environment and participate in safety, quality and production improvement activities.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Incumbent must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in hot conditions during the Summer months as well in cold conditions during the Winter. Team Member must be able to lift, push, pull, reach, grip and and bend according to our Pre-employment Screening Requirements.
