Downer Rail & Transit Systems business has a wide portfolio of projects currently in delivery nationally. RTS leverages the in-house capabilities within Downer to offer integrated solutions covering rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, as well as system integration.
Downer provides asset management services to over 50% of the Sydney Suburban Rollingstock. We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Delivery Manager to join the team. In your role you will work a 24/7 roster and provide frontline leadership, supervision and support to the workforce in ensuring work is carried out safely, to the correct standards and time frames at the Auburn Maintenance Centre. Further, the MDM is the senior AMC site representative outside of business hours.
The MDM is responsible for overseeing and managing employees in their daily activities to meet and exceed Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People targets and commitments.
Experience:
Significant leadership experience in rollingstock maintenance, driving a high performing accountable workforce. Proven experience in the maintenance and management of work schedules and working to budgets. Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies within a production environment. Proven experience in motivating teams to deliver to tight deadlinesSkills & Knowledge:
Advanced Technical knowledge of rollingstock sub systems and maintenance practices Thorough understanding of process workflows, efficient work flows and how to identify process improvements Thorough understanding of Zero Harm Principles Knowledge of TDS Policies and Procedures Thorough understanding of AMC Documents such as CWI’s Knowledge of AMC Contractual Requirements Knowledge of Engineering Best Practice and Quality Standards Knowledge and understanding of production/maintenance planning. Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement. Basic Knowledge of the site EBA and Industrial Relations. Knowledge of disciplinary procedures with ability to perform disciplinary actions and counselling as required. Thorough understanding of use of safety management systems.What we offer:
