THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

Supports the Maintenance Manager in ensuring that the plant is mechanically and electrically operational at all times, through direct daily communication with engineering staff

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

•National N Diploma with Trade Test Electrical/Mechanical or National S Diploma electrical/Mechanical.       

3 – 5 Years of experience in a similar role with the following:

Computer literateCMMS – experience of computerized management maintenance systemsUnderstanding of practical implementation of OHSActBakery process and equipment experience- advantageousFinance – budgeting and CAPEX planningContinuous improvementEnvironmental knowledge

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

MaintenanceDo planned maintenance scheduling, update schedules and sign off on completed schedulesConduct plant inspections, and issue unplanned maintenance schedulesIssue job cards and maintenance schedules.Ensure maintenance staff carry out correct repairsEnsure replacement equipment is properly overhauled for re-useEnsure maintenance schedules are properly and correctly completedReport all maintenance problems and repairs to Engineering ManagerReport on all spares required for next maintenance stoppagePeople ManagementPromote a high performance culture.Engage regularly with employees through invocoms, union engagements.Identify and develop Talent and competency gap closing actions.Ensure training is undertaken as per PDP’sEnsure workplace discipline and manage ER issues in line with Tiger Brands policies and procedures.            Health, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure and maintain safe working conditions for employees and equipment based on risk assessments and compliance with OHSAct.Instill an environmentally conscious mindset within the manufacturing environment (H2O, noise pollution, utilities, landfill)
