This is a full-time, hourly rotating, on-call position

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, builds, maintains, and repairs production equipment for all departments as required.  The maintenance mechanic will be responsible for reliability, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.  This position is an hourly position Monday – Friday, typically 7am-5pm.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:Participates actively in safety and skills training in pursuit of personal improvementMaintains a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment and operations in the interest of diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctionsPerforms preventive and predictive maintenance duties on equipment as requiredDiagnoses mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, automation, and process related failures and perform repairs on production and facilities equipmentCompletes all work using precision maintenance practices (alignment, tension, torque, lubrication, etc)Performs millwright and fabrication work as requiredMaintains records in accordance with established ADM policies and proceduresAssists external departments as business needs ariseProactively seeks and supports the plant goals and vision in accordance with ADM strategic visionMeets all physical requirements and is available for overtime and call-ins as neededCompletes job tasks independently or as part of a teamPerforms other tasks as neededStays up to date and complete training on new technology as requiredCompletes all required safety training also follow and display knowledge of all safety proceduresHave understanding of how to use a computer and emailIdentify, understand, and have ability to communicate with othersDemonstrates commitment and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervisionDisplay quality work through strong attention to detailStrives to develop teamwork by coordinating efforts with colleagues to complete tasks effectivelyComplete all required safety training also follow and display knowledge of all safety procedures.Have understanding of how to use a computer, email and some Microsoft applicationsDemonstrates commitment and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervisionWork overtime as necessaryMeet requests of supervision including but not limited to the essential functions listedUtilize company equipment, trucks, forklifts, computers, hand tools, and all testing equipment in a correct mannerMust stay motivated and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervisionAble to meet physical requirements and perform duties in working conditions listed belowDesired Experience:Industrial mechanical maintenance background Ability to diagnosis and repair equipmentWorking Conditions:Day shift- average of 40 hours a weekProvide coverage, call-in, and project staffingDuties performed inside and outsideMay be exposed to various temperatures and humid conditionsOften working performing tasks at high elevations always with the use of proper PPEMay perform tasks in tight spaces.Atmosphere exposure: fumes, odors, dust, gas, and poor ventilation. Due to the wide variety of tasks in all production areas, this position is exposed to many atmospheres.Hazard exposure: mechanical, electrical, and explosive. Temperature extremes (hot and cold).Protective Clothing Required: Hardhat, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/ boots, gloves, cut resistant sleeves, winter gear, high visibility vests, fall protection.Physical Requirements:Move up to 50 lbs.Position self to conduct work at various heights and positionsAbility to ascend/ descend many flights of stairs or ladders per dayBe on feet walking/ moving around over majority of typical workdayComplete office work on an as needed basisRepetitive use of limbs, hands and fine manipulationADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
