Maintenance Associate
The Maintenance Technician position works under the supervision of a Maintenance Lead and are responsible for performing a wide variety of building maintenance and repair work. Involving carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry, electrical, and mechanical. Carpentry: + Hangs pictures, white boards, and monitors. Repairs drywall, doors, windows, desks, flooring, and tile. Assembles furniture. Painting: + Paints hallways and offices. + Provides maintenance painting on interior and exterior of buildings. + Paints piping insulation and performs caulking. Plumbing: + Replaces or repairs defective restroom flush valves, toilet washers, packing and sinks. + Repairs leaks in joints and replaces short lengths of pipe. + Cleans clogged pipelines using a snake or force cup. + Assists in piping work, installs plumbing fixtures, and water lines. Masonry: + Patches broken asphalt, concrete and plaster surfaces. Other Duties : + Replaces or install window blinds, doors, and partitions. + Replace ceiling tiles, contain roof leaks, perform customer requests and all other duties assigned. Potential to learn and or assist on the following. Electrical: + Replaces broken or defective outlets, bulbs, fixtures, fluorescent tubes, and ballasts. Mechanical: + Does minor HVAC maintenance with adjustments to belt drives on heating, cooling, or ventilating systems. + Replaces air filters. May assist Maintenance Techs with work to motor and pumps. A U.S. Government Security Clearance is required for this position. This position requires the candidate to stand or walk most of the time with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching. Working from platforms and ladders. Occasional lifting of objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.
