Maintenance Assistant PM

Working within the Facilities Services Department, the Maintenance Assistant PM provides preventive, routine, and on-demand maintenance services for Institute functions during business and evening hours. Performs daily inspections, maintenance repairs, and upkeep of campus owned and leased properties as directed. Ensures that all work order requests are processed in a timely manner, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Previous facilities maintenance experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building construction.
This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $20.91 - $25.63 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
Performs daily inspection, maintenance repairs, and overall upkeep of MIIS owned and leased properties as directed including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building construction completing repairs as needed. Operates as the on-sight, evening hour maintenance person, to respond to all work order requests for maintenance needs. Ensures that all work order requests and tasks identified for repairs are completed in a timely manner, and in the most cost-effective way, and in compliance with all state and federal regulations. Provides support to the daytime maintenance staff by responding to work orders to be completed after regular business hours. Ensure preventative maintenance tasks and work order are completed as assigned. Monitors overall classroom condition and supplies with an emphasis on quality & safety Daily delivery of mail for student housing as well as providing assistance to the campus mail room as needed. Schedules and oversees contractors hired to perform essential duties as assigned. All other duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the Facilities Department.
