It does not include 4,000 hours of on-the-job training, as required for the NYS CSEA-P Applied Skilled Trades Traineeship.Must obtain a Class B CDL within 12 months of appointment withappropriate endorsements and no air brake restriction. Duties Description Will perform maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure including buildings, recreation facilities, bridges, dams, access roads, trails, boundary lines, and Wildlife Management Areas.Will be required to perform moderate to heavy labor, lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and work on heights on scaffold and platforms. Also, will be required to operate heavy equipment, large tractors, mowers, and transport heavy equipment and haul gravel. Will be required to follow all established safety standards and procedures in the performance of these job duties. Additional Comments Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.Must be able to work in remote areas.Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required.Overtime may be required.
