Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Maintenance and Reliability Supervisor to optimize our Reliability Maintenance Engineering organization.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Carpinteria, CA office.

Work Schedule: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm

What we’re looking for: 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent degree.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience.Familiarity with cGMP.Additional Qualifications: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills.  

Knowledge of process and facility maintenance techniques 

How you will thrive and create an impact: 

Supervise the activities of maintenance employees.Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental maintenance activities.Be accountable for site security, safety and proper shutdown of site at conclusion of shift.Monitor/ improve the efficiency, output and safety of maintenance processes through observations and measurements.Collect and interpret data.Ensure proper maintenance processes are followed in accordance to written documentation (i.e., Batch Records, cGMPs, SOP’s, Work Instructions).Sustain and revise procedures associated with maintenance processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.Create, edit, and maintain documentation (SOP’s, work instructions). Train, motivate, monitor and evaluate maintenance employee(s) performance.Participate in internal and/or customer audits.Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.Monitor work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.Investigate departmental non-conformities in maintenance processes by employing root cause analysis and implementing corrective/ preventative actions.Collaborate with cross functional teams to assure voice of the customer is met in a timely manner.Supervise/ participate in the production operations.Analyze and design lean manufacturing cells using effective systems to optimize use of space, equipment, material, personnel and increase capacities.Assist in developing plant layout for more efficient utilization of space and increased capacities.Support process validations by defining process to quality parameters, executing protocols, collecting/interpreting data and supporting protocol summary where needed.Develop/implement departmental cross training initiatives.Participate in activities related to ISO certification, and on-going conformance.Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$64,000.00 - $106,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
