ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all assigned Electrical duties in a safe and cost-effective manner. Minimize downtime by providing fast and accurate troubleshooting, repair, inspection, maintenance, service, calibration, installation and configuration of related manufacturing and production equipment. Execute work orders. Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors and managers. Maintain necessary records and documents of work performed.
EQUIPMENT
AC & DC motors; motor controls; VFD’s; electrical distribution (480vac or less); PLC’s; pneumatics; hydraulics; extruders; winders; packing and box machinery; slitters; center-folders; grinders; shredders; chillers; heat exchangers; conveyors; and air compressors.
REQUIREMENTS
1 year experience as an Industrial/Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician, or 2 years trade/technical school in a related field, or 4 years Industrial/Manufacturing experience with electrical knowledge, skills and abilitiesBasic mechanical aptitudeWork alone, with a skilled tradesperson or operations personnelWork in a team environmentWork with limited supervisionAble to stand for long periods, climb, kneel, squat and crawlLift and carry materials and equipment of 50 lbs or lessWork flexible hoursWeekly rotating shift work scheduleSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Pactiv Evergreen – Grottoes facility is located in the Shenandoah Valley, VA. The address is 149 Caverns Blvd., Grottoes, VA 22441. The plant was built in 1930, with new additions constructed from 1956-1990. With a workforce of approximately 200 employees working on 12 hours rotating shifts, Grottoes’ plant manufactures food grade plastic film, oven bags, industrial shrink wrap, and bacon boards. Grottoes facility has received the following awards and recognitions: Plant of the Year Award in 2010, Environmental Performer of the Year 2017 and Safety Performer of the Year 2017
