Winery and Warehouse Maintenance Manager
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Maintenance Manager to join their team and lead all aspects of maintenance and repair for their Winery and Warehouse facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing all preventative and emergency maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations and adherence to budget. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage contractors for larger projects, and oversee all aspects of maintaining compliance with safety regulations and food safety certifications.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and implement all repairs and maintenance activities for the Winery and Warehouse facility. Manage all preventative and emergency maintenance activities and projects, adhering to timelines, budgets, and established procedures. Oversee contractor and vendor relations for maintenance projects. Provide leadership, motivation, and coaching to the maintenance team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage maintenance staff performance and development. Develop and maintain budgets for maintenance activities and procure necessary materials and equipment. Ensure site and procedure compliance within the framework of Occupational Health & Safety regulations and food safety system certification. Maintain security systems and conduct daily, monthly, and routine checks with detailed reporting.Qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a Technical field (Red Seal trade certification a significant advantage). Experience with automation systems and PLCs. Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical and managerial role within the food or beverage processing industry. Strong understanding of mechanical equipment used in food, juice, or wine processing. Proficiency in computer applications relevant to maintenance management. Proven project management and leadership skills. Physically fit and able to work in various outdoor conditions. Willingness to work overtime, including standby and on-call duties, especially during peak seasons. A Working at Heights certification, heavy lifting equipment certification, and a forklift license are considered valuable assets. Willingness to be designated as a GMR 2 certified Competent Person for machinery by the Department of Labour. Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation. Residence within a 30 km radius of the workplace preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
