Job description

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe DB2 DBA
In the role, you will perform all the activities of data base administrator which includes DB maintenance, Systems availability, and Data Security. You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across various activities. . You will play an important role in creating the high-level quality deliverables. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.Experience in Mainframe DB2 Data base administration, JCL, BMC Utilities.All applicants authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in DB jobs monitoring, Backup and restore, table, Table space creations, performance, and logs monitoringRole requires on-call production support.Sub-Systems Consolidation/elimination BMC, Db2 upgrade preparation and validationApplication Retirement and storage savingsSupport Outages and production issues related to the DBMonitor and review SQL queries.Monitor database space requirements through automationMonitor Health check and alerts in place for database objects availability Manage automation of and for database recovery including DR exercisesAutomation detecting and alerting on download of sensitive data Create and give authority to Views restricting access to sensitive columnsParse the System logs for unauthorized access to databases that contain sensitive data. Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA/WA/NY/CO: $67,000 to $93,800
in Washington, DC: $81,900 to $111,000

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
