The Role at a Glance

 

In this position, you will perform and deliver on highly routine work for your assigned area(s) of responsibility in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. You will be responsible for supporting functions within the Mail Services operation between the hours of 7:30 to 4:15, and will provide routine mail services support services to internal customers including scanning prepped mail into electronic images within the Automated Work Distribution System (AWD).  

 

 

What you'll be doing

 

Applying foundational knowledge to processing all incoming and outgoing mail (USPS, Certified, Registered and Express) including researching, preparing and scanning documents into AWD. Receiving and distributing mail, and tracking incoming and outgoing express and ground shipments, utilizing vendor supplied computer equipment for shipping and tracking. Sorting correspondence by plan number, contract number or policy number and business area. Collating and stuffing envelopes manually with materials for internal and external distribution. Accessing mainframe systems to identify contract number or policy number and company code. Preparing documents for scanning, operating imaging equipment, and/or indexing the imaged correspondence via the Automated Work Distribution System. Processing return mail in accordance with Compliance guidelines. Utilizing vendor supplied computer equipment (postage meters, scales and arrival system) for shipping and tracking mail. Completing mail projects for internal and external distribution. Following Records Retention schedule for documents scanned into AWD and coordinates destruction upon maturity. Performing specific data entry functions. Performing routine research within AWD and resolving issues for internal customers. Distributing output reports to internal customers. Processing agent mail and preparing it for daily shipping. Working overtime as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle & feel & talk, hear & see. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk & reach with hands & arms. What we’re looking for

 

High School or GED (Minimum Required) 0 - 1+ Years of Administrative Support, Clerical Support and/or data entry experience  (Required). Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Employee must be able to work more than 40 hrs per week on occasion.

 

Nice to Have: Experience in postal service industry, experience working with Opex scanner and Mavro.

The pay range for this position is $17.20 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
