Main Missions :
The Economic Research Department mission is to carry out diagnosis, monitoring and forecasts of macro-economic trends on a worldwide basis, to assess and monitor country risks, industry risks and insolvencies worldwide, and develop in-depth analyzes on global trade, emerging opportunities and risks and other specific topics such as DSO or commodities, both for internal (strategic, commercial and risk decisions) and external (brand awareness) purposes.
The Role :
Support the team of economists in their daily tasks and researches: contribute to the diagnosis and monitoring of economic trends, country risks and insolvencies for a region/set of countries by maintaining database, updating forecasts, responding to urgent queries, writing short notes and talking points, contributing to publications and drawing-up presentations for clients, prospects, media and internal audience. Support the team of economists in their projects, by conducting ad-hoc researches, setting up indicators, developing new database/tool to enrich the analysis, and contributing to documentation and presentations. KPIs of the function: High quality content delivered in a timely fashion.
Profile :
Master Degree in Economics/Statistics. Fluent in English. (French is a really nice-to-have) Very good analytical, research and writing skills Additional knowledge in micro economy/ corporate finance/statistics is an advantage. Very good knowledge of MS Office suite, in particular Excel. Very good knowledge of statistical software (Python, E-views, R, Stata) and experience with economic data providers (Datastream, Refinitiv / Eikon, Bloomberg) is an advantage.
