Job Description

YOUR TASKS

In this role you will be responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision parts to support the departments of Engineering, Maintenance, and Production.  You will produce small batches or large quantities of parts and ensure products meet precise specifications according to the blueprints.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to produce precision parts.Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and positioning using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and math skills.Determine proper feeds, speeds, and material removal for cutting and finishing operations.Set up machines, select tools and materials, and regulate temperature and vibration for quality output.Perform routine maintenance, tool sharpening, and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.Maintain accurate job and attendance records.Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other departments.Follow all safety, environmental, and plant policies; forklift certification required.Keep workspace clean and organized while maintaining equipment in top condition.Other Duties as Assigned – Support additional maintenance and operational tasks as required.

THE ENVIRONMENT

This includes safety wear such as steel toes, hearing protection, etc.The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noiseThe role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training providedMust be able to stand for long periods, frequently stoop, twist, bend, walk long distances, climb stairs/ladders, and lift 50 or more pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

AAS Degree in Machine Tool Technology or a High School Diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience3+ years of machining experience with the ability to read blueprints and schematicsLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
