As a Machinist Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a\npivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely,\nand in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production\nschedules. You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you’ll work\nout of our Columbus, OH location. In this role, you will impact the future of\nHoneywell by maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase\nsavings and better serve our customers.
2nd shift (3:45pm- 12:15am)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled machinists,\nprogrammers, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and\ncollaboration.
• Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including\nmachinery, manpower, and materials, to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes\nto ensure that all manufactured parts meet or exceed quality standards and\nspecifications.
• Develop production schedules, set priorities, and monitor\nworkflow to optimize machine shop productivity and meet customer demands.
• Oversee machine maintenance and repair schedules to ensure\nthat all equipment is operational, safe, and properly maintained.
• Monitor and control operational expenses, identifying\ncost-saving opportunities while ensuring the shop remains within budget.
• Ensure the machine\nshop complies with all safety regulations and best practices, fostering a safe\nwork environment for all employees.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementing\nlean manufacturing principles and identifying opportunities for process\noptimization and efficiency gains.
