As a High School Intern - Machinist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and conducting quality inspections.
Key ResponsibilitiesWorking 1:1 with a mentor, you will apply your current skills and learn to:Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision componentsInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operationsConduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flowCollaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
