Job Description:
Responsible for running high-technology automated manufacturing equipment including CNCs, Lathes, Broaches, Gear Grinders, Shavers, & Hobs. Producing engine and drivetrain components with extremely tight tolerances and strict quality control requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints ensuring each part has correct dimensions, performs program adjustments as needed to hold specifications, and reports defects. Perform change-over setup processes & equipment preventive maintenance. Lead, train, and coach other team members on safety, work-place standards, LEAN, machine setup, & process optimization. Ensure team measures are collects & accurate, facility daily team huddles.Responsible for running high-technology automated manufacturing equipment including CNCs, Lathes, Broaches, Gear Grinders, Shavers, & Hobs. Responsibilities:
Simultaneously operate multiple CNC milling & lathe machines; broach & hone; gear hob, shave, shape, & precision grinding machines; load & unload, deburr & clear product, fixture part & 100% check Key Product Characteristics to part print
Perform gear roll testing in noise-controlled cleanroom environmentUse calipers, micrometer, height gauge, and other tools to measure and maintain part qualitySetup machines, including utilizing tool presetter, remove/install tooling & cutter changes; install & adjust jaws, v-blocks, fixture, chucks, collets, bushings, automatic pallet loading devices, & vices. Measure and adjust these fixtures to specification.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be able to read & interpret blueprints & CAD models of products, understand tolerances, transfer to machine dataHave experience using mechanic tools, blasting machine, hydraulic press, deburr tools, and other toolsMaintain LEAN manufacturing environment, 5S standards, and participate in continuous improvement projectsAbility to multitask and manage time between simultaneous projects
