**Job Title: Machine Operator (Metal Forming Machines)** **Job Description** Our client is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join the team. Machine Operators will be responsible for operating machinery that cuts large coils of metals (stainless, aluminum, copper, steel) into smaller coils and/or large sheets. This role begins with a focus on packing the product at the end of the machine line while learning to operate the machinery, so that all operators understand the entire process through before leading the machine operation. Will eventually use the overhead crane, possibly for the forklift, and assisting in mechanical machine set-ups. After 90 days, you will join the Union and have the opportunity to apply for a permanent Machine Operator position, which includes a pay increase. **Hard Skills** + Machine Operating experience (preferring machine operating experience within the metal manufacturing, forming, or fabrication industries, such as brake press, punch press, slitter machines, forming machines, manual CNC machines, Grinder Machines) + Overhead crane operation + Micrometers/Calipers/Gauges for quality inspections **Soft** **Skills** + Willingness to learn + Attention to detail + Teamwork + Adaptability **Work Environment** The work environment includes a production facility with 30 employees. The facility is equipped with overhead cranes for loading coils into machines or onto trucks. The machines cut large metal coils into smaller coils or sheets.
