Responsibilities

Summary

 

The operator is responsible for the direct supervision of the assigned production lines.  This position is directly responsible for worker compliance with established safety, quality, quantity and housekeeping.

 

***Plastics Extrusion experience REQUIRED***

 

Responsible for interpretation of and adherence to production work ordersResponsible for assuring order set-ups, product quality checks and equipment set-ups are done in line with specificationsTroubleshooting production line equipmentMaintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipmentReports any process and equipment problemsFollows AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) per written procedures and practicesCapable of using JDE to enter production, print labels, close out ordersCompletes at least one Work Place Observation and One Near Miss per monthUpdates line boards dailyAssists in training, upgrading, evaluating and reviewing shift personnelOrganizes work for smooth operationsResponsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping on assigned linesMaintenance of company policies and proceduresResponsible for ensuring scrap goals on assigned lines are metRelieve Packers for breaks Qualifications

 

Knowledge/experience of extruders, recycling procedures and profiles or resins and their propertiesMechanical aptitude/experience for troubleshootingAbility to lift up to 50lbsGood communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
