Machine Operator (Full Time) - Pointe Aux Trembles, QC

The function of this job is to operate and troubleshoot the air separation plant in a safe and efficient manner, as described in various procedures, processes and regulatory requirements. Using air separation and cryogenic process knowledge, the Process Technician operates in an environment where they have to prioritize and complete various activities without direct supervision. Successful candidates must be able to work alone, on rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Implementation of operational discipline, principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant processes and equipment.Operation, monitoring, and inspection of process equipment and conditions.During plant start-up, interact with various electronic, pneumatic, and PLC 5 control systems from Allen Bradley.Continuous analysis and operation of plant processes and equipment.Use of troubleshooting skills to recognize and resolve process deviations and problems.When necessary, complete preventive maintenance tasks, participate in equipment modernization, and preventive maintenance or participate in local management of corporate programs.Utilize process knowledge and skills to improve productivity and equipment reliability.Professional communication between contractors, visitors, customers, colleagues, and management.
