Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a band saw and a sit-down forklift, as well as the ability to read a tape measure accurately. This role involves cutting steel, performing visual quality control, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The candidate should have a strong attendance record and a reliable work history.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a band saw to cut steel according to specifications.Use a sit-down forklift to move materials safely.Read and interpret tape measures accurately.Perform visual quality control checks on processed materials.Apply metal to customer orders and process material as per work order specifications.Maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition.Keep the processing area organized, clean, and safe.Accurately complete all required information entries.Perform additional tasks as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience operating a band saw.Proficiency in using a sit-down forklift.Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Strong attention to detail.Good paperwork and chain of custody management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in metal fabrication and aerospace industry.Strong attendance and work history with good tenure.Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.Why Work Here?

We offer job stability in the aerospace industry with a 90-day temp-to-hire opportunity. Our facility provides a fast-paced environment with over 60 employees on the floor. New hires receive thorough training, starting with classroom instruction followed by hands-on training with experienced operators. Once hired full-time, employees on the 2nd shift receive a pay differential, and the 3rd shift is compensated for 40 hours while working 36 hours.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The environment is fast-paced and involves working with various machinery and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25
