**Job Title: Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are a leading plastics company that supports the food and beverage industry by manufacturing to-go containers, Tupperware, and other food storage products. Our company is stable and has experienced record growth over the past few years. We utilize an extrusion process, where small pieces of plastic are melted and formed into large rolls, which are then processed through machines that mold and stamp out containers and lids. We are seeking dedicated extrusion operators who are more than just button pushers. This role requires individuals to be on their feet for 12 hours, making necessary adjustments to temperature and speed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate extrusion machines efficiently.
+ Make adjustments to machine temperatures and speeds as needed.
+ Perform quality checks and ensure attention to detail.
+ Understand and interpret schematics.
+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Machine operator experience.
+ Ability to perform quality checks.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Understanding of schematics.
+ Ability to stand for 12 hours.
+ Mechanically inclined.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with extrusion processes.

**Work Environment**
Our facility is not temperature controlled, but we have fans to maintain a comfortable environment even when it's 90 degrees outside. There is an odor associated with melting plastic. Required PPE includes hair/beard nets, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes. Orientation on the first day includes a presentation, on-the-floor job shadowing, lunch break, lockout/tagout training, and a test over the presentation.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $45240.00/yr.
