**Machine Tear Down Specialist** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Machine Tear Down Specialist. This role involves the disassembly of various pieces of equipment attached to railroad cars. The job primarily focuses on custom work for the railroad industry, involving large machinery used to pull or replace tracks. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, heavy industrial assembly, mechanics, farm work, or entry-level welding. **Responsibilities** + Disassemble and reassemble parts on large equipment attached to railroad cars. + Use various hand and power tools to perform repairs. + Occasionally operate a torch or plasma cutter (training provided). + Utilize blueprints and schematics to ensure job accuracy. + Perform custom repairs as each job may vary. + Work on the tear down, repair, and full build of railroad machines and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand tools and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics. + Good mechanical aptitude. + Experience in mechanical assembly, auto mechanics, or farm work. + Welding and maintenance repair skills. **Why Work Here?** This is a smaller, team-oriented work environment where everyone is willing to help and pitch in. Overtime is usually optional, occasionally required, and typically scheduled on Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM with plenty of notice.
