**Job Description Summary**
With minimal supervision, maintain, repair and improve multi-function high-speed automatic manufacturing equipment. Mentor other mechanics, and assist with the design, installation, and improvement of new and
existing manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust all types of manufacturing equipment. Assist Equipment Specialist, Back-Up Line Mechanics, and Line Mechanics to produce quality products according to
schedule. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and machinery malfunctions, make repairs and /or adjustments. Perform routine preventative maintenance on all manufacturing and production machinery on a scheduled frequency to assure optimum equipment efficiency with minimum downtime. Often this individual will be required to identify machinery components which are nearing failure and take pro-active measures to prevent failure from occurring.

**Summary:** M1 Line Mechanic will perform all functions of the manufacturing process in accordance with cGMPs, quality systems standards, safety regulations, operating procedures and work instructions to produce medical devices. The M1 Line Mechanic reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and must be able to perform all required tasks for their specific assigned line(s).
**Responsibilities:**
+ Performs all duties in compliance with cGMPs, Quality Systems Regulations, Safety Standards and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
+ Performs set-up, change over, cleaning and sanitizing, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
+ Assists in training of new employees as directed by supervisors or lead operators.
+ Maintains good housekeeping practices including keeping floors free of debris, sweeping, straightening, etc.
+ Works safely around moving parts and hot/cold surfaces.
+ Communicates effectively with co-workers and management personnel.
+ Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.
+ Wears protective apparel as required (i.e., gloves, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel toe boots) and ensures that it is properly worn.
+ Completes documentation as trained (i.e., paperwork, data collection sheets, training forms, etc.)
+ Actively participates in continuous improvement projects.
+ Stages product and materials according to production needs.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
+ Ability to read, write and speak English.
+ Basic math skills, basic computer skills, and verbal/written communication skills.
+ Working knowledge of cGMPs and FDA regulations.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work independently.
+ Self-motivated to learn new tasks and processes.
+ Able to wear appropriate PPE for extended periods of time.
+ Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
+ Ability to bend, twist and manipulate limbs.
