Tell me more about the role:

The LVN supports the physician and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments, and a variety of medically related tasks. The LVN is a licensed nurse who works in an ambulatory care setting to provide nursing services.

Summary of Essential Duties:

Assist in the planning and delivery of patient careWork with special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgroundsIdentify the ability of the adult and geriatric patients to understand direction and give consentProvide excellent quality care including patient education, phlebotomy and assisting the MD with patient visits and in-office procedures in the GYN clinic and other settings as appropriateParticipate in coordinating specific services as directed including pre-operative prep, assisting with pre-certifications and HMO authorizations for surgeries

Education:

Graduate of an accredited LVN program required

License/Certification Requirements:

California Vocational Nurse (LVN) license requiredCurrent BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredExperience:A minimum of 1 year of LVN experience preferred
