Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. Essential Function
Delegates selected tasks while retaining accountability for outcome. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs patient care activities that are delegated and supervised by the Registered Nurse to an assigned patient group. He/she may perform direct patient care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with a wide variety of medical/surgical conditions. The Licensed Practical Nurses may supervise Nursing Assistants or Technicians assigned to patients under her/his care. The Licensed Practical Nurse contributes to the nursing process through data collection, completion of nursing interventions, and input into the plan of care. He/she may perform direct patient care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with a wide variety of medical/surgical conditions. Complies with dress code, hospital policy, policy related to absence and tardiness.Qualifications/Training
