Do you have experience working with reviewing and approving drainage plans, right-of-way and culvert permits or inspecting private, public and County owned property? As the Lot Drainage Specialist, you will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, statutes and County ordinances; and will provide back-up support for Land Development Inspectors in their inspection activities. In this role you will work closely with the Land Development Professional Engineer. Join our team and apply today!Review all lot drainage plans submitted to Land Development as part of the building permit process for compliance with the Unified Development Code.Provide on-site inspections of private, public and County owned property; ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, statutes and County ordinances. Provide back up support for Land Development Inspectors in their inspection activities.Provide support in the review of site development permit plans and right-of-way use permits.Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About YouTo thrive in this position, you must have-
A High School Diploma or its equivalent AND four (4) years of related experience; two (2) of which must be in related inspecting experience. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.Florida Department of Environmental Protection Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Certification, or will be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire.About Everything ElseStarting Pay Range: $23.33 - $25.00 based on experience
