Long Term Care Pharmacist

**Overview**
**Scope of Responsibilities:** Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
**Job Summary:** Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.
**Responsibilities**
**Job Duties:**
+ Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
+ Performs all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines
+ Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
+ Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims
+ Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.
+ Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
+ Insure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times
+ Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
+ Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
+ Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
+ Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
+ Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
+ Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
+ Work on-call schedule, where applicable
+ Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.
+ Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
+ Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
+ Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
+ Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
**Education:**
Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
**Job Requirements:**
+ Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy
+ Ability to stand/walk throughout majority of shift
+ Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test
**Special Conditions of Employment:**
+ Drug test
+ Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
+ Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

**Compensation:**
$130,000-140,000 per year
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
