If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Shopfloor Logistics Supervisor position at Faurecia, a global leader in automotive technology.
As the Shopfloor Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the internal flow of pieces, from receipt to shipping. You will ensure customer delivery, production line supplies, logistics basics, visual management, equipment and human resources, productivity gains, and team management. You will also work closely with other functions, such as quality, production, and engineering, to ensure the smooth and optimal operation of the plant.
The main missions of the role are:
QCDP Performance develops the objectives fixed and manages the necessaries tools to achieve them:
o Propose and follows QCDP indicators (Quality, Cost, Delivery and People).
o Ensure the necessary training and motivates different work team to improve performance (QRCI, 5S, etc.).
o Defines, with the supervisors of the others shifts and with the Plant PC&L Manager, objectives QCDP to the different GAP’s: SCRAP, MPM’s, PDP Achievement, Absenteeism, number of accidents, Improvement Ideas, etc.
o Follows the GAP’s performance during the shifts and reports accurate data at the end of the shift.
o Manage resources to reach results: adapt/identifies recruitment needs.
o React immediately in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions, if necessary, built action plans.
o Apply quality standards and proceedings, to satisfy the final client.
o Participate in Pull System/Kanban deployment.
o Proposes solutions and methodologies that contributes for optimization of processes
People Management:
o Ensure daily management:
o Presence on the shop floor, daily contact with team members, ensure a close team management.
o Manage teams: daily and weekly plan shift changes, absenteeism, holidays and over time.
o Coach GAP Leaders and team member in how to perform their role.
o Support and help operators to solve interpersonal and operational problems.
o Ensure rigor and discipline (work clothes, EPI’s, work schedule).
o Ensure respect for standards and safety instructions, policies and procedures.
o Participate on selection and recruitment of staff.
o Ensure proper induction of newcomers.
o Define and manage training plan and development of team members.
o Manage appraisal process to all staff.
o Validates and manages operator’s polyvalence and follows this process (evolution vs training plan).
Health, Safety, Environment and Work Conditions:
o Responsible for immediately stop the logistic mechanism in case of safety risk.
o Pilot and leads HSE Core Team in GAP’s and follow the deployment of action plans.
o Guide improvements of work conditions and ergonomics.
o Ensure that all outsources know and respect proceedings.
o Audits outsourcers.
o Manages wastes and empty containers park.
o Manages recycle materials.
Minimum education level: Bachelor or Master in Management or Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) (preferably)
Experience: Professional preferably in an industrial environment
