Job Responsibilities:

Supervise the day to day operations of the logistics teamManage the performance of all couriers using established performance metricsImplement and review courier routes and schedules to increase efficienciesEnsure department is properly staffed with the ability to cover all necessary routes Establish relationships with outside logistics vendors to obtain coverage when neededGenerate and review daily/weekly reports and escalate any issues to leadershipEnsure entire logistics staff is properly trained and any performance issues are addressedMeet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their developmentAddress and resolve both internal and external client issuesMaintain and monitor department spend to ensure proper budget allocationManage and maintain branch vehicles according to Corporate Fleet standardsEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsResponsible for administering and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative and clerical duties as needed

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentAssociates or Bachelor’s degree is a plus3-5+ years previous relevant experience required; preferably in a medical courier environmentPrevious leadership experience is preferredAbility to motivate and develop team membersStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft OfficeBasic understanding of managing costs and an overall budgetStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate with various levels within an organizationExcellent critical thinking and problem resolution skillsMust have a Valid Driver's License and be at least 21 years’ oldAbility to handle the physical demands of the positionComfortable with handling lab specimens when needed

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; coverage on other shifts and weekends as needed
