Logistics Assistant Manager
The primary duty of an export executive is to manage international trade and export activities, ensuring all projects and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations. Specific duties may include customs requirements, and export restrictions; handling import-export documentation; budgeting, setting operational policies; and troubleshooting any issues related to export process such as sea freight, air freight and cross border.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with shipping agent to book the vessel, arrange the truck and loading labor and proceed the export customs formality, obtain the shipping documents which requested by customer such as COO, FTA, Form D certificate, DOA.
Resolving problems regarding transportation, imports and exports and customer issues.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements.
Manage, coach and developing procedures and processes for logistics activities.
Liaising with other departments to coordinate the efficient distribution of goods.
Hold responsibility for department budget.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Conduct performance analysis and KPI tracking for logistics operations, measuring key metrics such as on-time delivery, fill rate, inventory turnover, and transportation costs, and implementing improvements or corrective actions as needed.
Additional/Secondary Responsibilities
Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal
stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and
customers.
People management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
Required Qualifications:
Level of Education and Discipline
Bachelor's degree or Master Degree in Business Administration, Logistics Management or related fields
Certifications and/or Licenses
Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in working experience such as Export, Import or Logistics. Knowledge of the freight forwarding, Customs Regulations and logistics industry is preferred.
