Logistics Specialist Nights 

Schedule: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and every other Saturday 6pm-6am              

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Forward Air is seeking an energetic, logistics-minded professional to join our Night Operations Team. In this critical role, you will support internal teams, customers and carriers. As an Operations Representative, your key responsibilities will include communicating effectively with our customers and carriers, tracking and tracing shipments, entering and managing load details accurately, solving problems proactively and sourcing capacity as needed. You will oversee all aspects of customer service to deliver best-in-class experiences for both customers and carriers.

Responsibilities:

Proactively track and trace shipments Manage exceptions and actively work on resolving issues efficiently Respond promptly to customers and carriers, delivering best-in-class service Execute change requests and ensure timely communication of updates to all relevant parties Proactively communicate service failures to customers, providing timely updates and solutions Network internally across teams Develop a network of carriers operating 24/7, learn about their preferences and build strong relationships with key contacts Accurately enter and manage load data Escalate customer and carrier issues promptly as needed to ensure resolution Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Proficient in Microsoft Office and Technology Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills A positive, 'can-do' attitude combined with a strong work ethic and a willingness to go above and beyond Ability to work weekends

Skills:

Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain a strong sense of urgency, and effectively execute responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-driven and highly motivated Previous dispatch experience is a plus Capable to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
